Living Arrows Week Eleven. Gardening With A Baby!

Living Arrows: Week Eleven

We’ve ended the week with a bit of a bug but thankfully, the start of this week was FAR nicer and much more worthy of our Living Arrows catch up! As I’ve mentioned before, we’re looking to do work on our house so it’s looking a little unloved in the meantime. Fed up of living in the scruffiest house on the street, in a fit of madness I decided to do a (tiny) spot of gardening and of course, my new apprentice had to come along as well.

We live in a small village with our road leading up towards the woods so there are always plenty of people walking past with their dogs. If we’re in the garden, the dog spends her time glued to the gate on people watch and apparently that’s the baby’s new hobby too. It’s the first time he’s been able to really come outside with us any sense as it’s usually too cold but he loved it! He stood at the gate for a while, laughing at the dog and looking VERY cute to any passersby before giving the entire street a rendition of ‘The Tired Baby Blues’. Thankfully we dodged the rain and managed to get the flowerbed on the front wall looking loved for once!

The end of this week has been a bit more of a downhill slump. Clearly a morning of activities was far too much for one little boy as he picked up a bug from somewhere. There’s been a lot of tears and tantrums followed by Calpol induced highs and very limited sleep for all of us. I don’t know how we managed being up every couple of hours with a newborn for so long, I’m dying of exhaustion today!

Fingers crossed for a better week this week…

Lovely photos! I adore his snowsuit. Isn’t it lovely to be able to get out and about more in the fresh air now? Spring is my favourite time of year, warm afternoons, frosty mornings, beautiful flowers and baby lambs.
