Living Arrows Week Twelve

Living Arrows: Week Twelve

We’ve embraced springtime this week. Following on from the gardening that happened last weekend (a one off occurrence I can assure you!) we abandoned all the work that needs doing at home and went to see some lambs instead.

I think this year I’ve seen more lambs than ever before thanks to one of our mum and baby friends living on a sheep farm; we’ve seen shedloads of them! However, poor Dave is usually at work and hadn’t had the chance to partake in the cuteness that is baby animals plus baby humans. Trust me when I say that it’s cuteness overload. To overcome this we headed to a local agricultural college that opened its doors for the aptly named ‘Lambing Sunday’.

We had a great time showing our boy around the farm. His favourite part (aside from the lambs) was the trip to the aquatic area where he was completely mesmerised by the fish – to the point that we’ve decided to head to the aquarium for his birthday! He kept trying to touch them which was very cute.

He turned ten months this week and I’m loving him at this age. He’s got so much character now and changes every day, he laughs at things he finds funny, is always wanting to explore and is so chilled out about life in general. Watching him today, sandwich in both hands looking so grown up made me realise just how fortunate we are! I want to savour every moment just in case it’s the last time he does it…

Gorgeous photos as always. I love how he was trying to touch the fish. I’ve been meaning to take D to the aquarium in the World Museum got some time now, so will definitely have to make a point of doing it soon.

It’s so cool you get to see so many lambs. I haven’t seen a single one yet, that’s the problem with living in the city. We are off to Wales again this week though so maybe we’ll spot our first one!

This is the first year we haven’t loitered near some fields to see them! I bet you’ll see loads! Definitely give the aquarium a try, we kept saying about it but weren’t sure he’d be interested. This is the first time he’s actually shown more than a fleeting interest but I think it’s the colours!

He really does look mesmerised by those fishes! We have a fish tank at home, it is amazing how calming they can be to watch (for both baby and mum during a baby tantrum!).

Dave is desperate to get a tank but I keep refusing – mostly cos it’ll be me cleaning them! He’ll just have to watch them on the TV for now!! x

This is just such a nice season isn’t it? All the new life and cuteness! I remember 10 months being a great age, not quite one, getting the hang of food and learning so much too! x

It’s a lovely age – I feel like he changes by the second! Thanks for hosting

Going to see the lambs sounds lovely – I wonder if there is anywhere near us we can see them. And toddlers just seem to love fish – we often go to the garden centre to look at all the fish and we’re planning on getting a couple of our own soon too. #LivingArrows
