Living Arrows: Week Forty Six

I feel like this is a week to get organised and sorted with life! Having just about recovered from being ‘The Family Sick’, I want to get our lives back on track after we’ve had a bit of a slack few months. I’m talking taking things back to basics; meal planning, healthier lifestyles, sorting out the mountains of piles in the house and getting ourselves ready for the big man himself to visit (you know I’m talking Santa!).

Between sorting things and having some lazy recovery days, this week we’ve been pretty slow. The biggest thing to happen in our household was the arrival of a new ‘big boy’ quilt for the cot. We’ve been using a sleeping bag for months now but over the Summer transitioned to just a blanket. As the weather’s turned colder we’ve had to upgrade to a duvet so we did a little shopping! It’s absolutely humongous! I feel like my little boy has suddenly become tiny again in his cot. Even if he does look about twelve tucked up under it! For a transport obsessed child, it was the ultimate in enjoyment that I managed to find a transport duvet cover for him as well. He sits in his bed at night shouting out ‘tractor, truck, bus, train’ over and over. He may not be sleeping any better but he’s in his bed atleast!

In other news this week, we’ve discovered the delights of having a boy. Dave has been introducing him to creepy crawlies in the garden, something which makes me want to cry! I got home the other day to find he’d sent me this photo of them meeting a worm on the front drive. Absolutely revolting as far as I’m concerned but apparently he was loving it! BOYS!

Oh my goodness! He looks absolutely adorable! His hair is ????????????????????????. I’m so jealous that he will sleep in a cot with a big boy duvet! What a clever boy!

I’m guilty of picking up the worms and spiders but RLT doesn’t like getting his hands dirty so won’t touch them ????

That sleepy picture, right?! Melts my heart every time! Oh god no, keep me away from the worms and the spiders, I like my bugs out of sight and far away!

Oh he looks so grown up with his duvet! LOVE the cover too. I hope the sickness stays away now, sending healthy happy vibes! x

Thank you! All bugs have passed and the bedding survived!

Aww, he looks so sweet in his cot. We’re still using sleeping bags here at two and a bit but he seems to like them so we probably won’t swap to a duvet until he moves into a bed. #LivingArrows

I wish we could still use ours, it became such a fight the last few times that it just wasn’t worth it! Although the duvet makes me terrified every time!
