Living Arrows: Week Thirty Four

Living near the beach generally means we avoid it during the busier summer months. Instead we spend time in our own garden, walk in the woods and do our best to avoid the mass of tourists that flock to the Devon beaches. This weekend, in need of a break from home work (no, not that kind!), we threw caution to the wind and headed out for breakfast at the beach.

I’ve been amazed recently how fast our little guy is picking up words. It’s like his vocabulary exploded overnight. With that, we’re able to know more about his favourite things; ‘boats’ and ‘tac-tars’ (tractors). So you can imagine how excited he was to see all the boats at the beach… especially when he spotted the tractor there to help pull the boats up onto the stones. He spent the whole meal running up and down the pathways, collecting pebbles and learning how to throw them – thanks Dave!

I’m loving this age!

Learning at this age seems super accelerated doesn’t, they seem to learn new words overnight. How exciting for him to see all his favourite things on the beach x #LivingArrows

It’s so fast, I feel like he picks up new words every other minute!

You want to thank your lucky stars that Dave didn’t decide to put a pebbled pathway all the way down your garden….because that’s exactly what has happened in our garden and throwing pebbles is a favourite pass-time (as well as eating them). Hurrahhh for Daddys and pebbles!

Epic picture, the positioning of the boat is just perfect!

HAHAHAHA, this is exactly the thing he WOULD do. And exactly why we don’t have stones in our garden…

Such a lovely shot! It really is a lovely stage when they suddenly just begin speaking so much more.

It’s so good. I feel like we can communicate so much easier already – even with only a few words!

He is the cutest and it sounds like he’s at a great age. I’ve never thought about how busy the summer months must be for locals in tourist hot spots. Such a shame that you can’t just enjoy the summer at your usual places 🙁 x

It’s such a tiny price to pay for living in such a lovely area. We just fit around the busy periods and make the most of our own home when it’s sunny!

Such a lovely photo! The beach is our happy place at the minute. It’s great to have somewhere they can roam free and feel safe.
