Are you Ready to Have Another Child?

If you think that now is the time for you to have another child, then you will know what an exciting time this can be. That being said, you have to remember that there are other things that have to be in order for you to take that next step with confidence. If you want to find out more, simply keep on reading.

Money is Right

Sure, money isn’t everything, but you do need to make sure that you have some financial stability when the time comes for you to raise a family. You probably know by now, but a child can cost thousands every year so you need to make sure that you are budgeting so that you can make sure that you are getting pregnant even though you can’t afford it. It’s vital that you think about your situation at work too. Many mothers find it difficult to keep up with full-time work when they have several children to take care of. If you can, you have to think about how you feel about your work right now so you can see if you have enough time to have a second child given the situation that you are in right now.

Your Age

If you are 38 right now and you want to make sure that you can have two more children then you have to know that you may not actually have the luxury of being able to space them up to 3 years apart. If you are under the age of 30 and you do not have any health problems, then you probably don’t have anything to worry about. There can be some fast-cut offs though. Fertility drops quite dramatically when you reach the age of 35, which makes conception at the age of 40 a little harder. If you want to protect yourself then you may want to look into things such as social freezing, so you can make sure that you are happy to have kids when you are ready, rather than your body working against you.

Your Partner Situation

In a more than ideal world, you and your partner will be ready to have another child at the same time. If you are ready but your partner isn’t, or if you feel as though your partner is ready but you have doubts, then it is vital that you sit and that you talk about your differences. Talk about your point of view and also make sure that you do not act too hastily. If you are not able to talk to your partner without an argument brewing, then this is probably a sign that you need to hold off a little. If you can do this, then you will soon find that the right time for you to try comes along, and if it doesn’t then you may find that it wasn’t meant to be. If you can do this, then you will soon find that everything works out and that you can be content with your decision, whatever it is.
