This week has flown by and once again, I find myself late to write this. There’s little of any note to add this week… it’s been one of those where life speeds past at a terrifying rate and before you know it, another week is gone, the work clothes are drying and it’s time to sort the piles out for nursery again on Monday.
We’ve spent most of this week tackling some pretty horrific nappy rash. Having tried almost all creams known to man, I’m now going back to our tips from before and hoping to find a miracle cure. What it does mean is that we’ve spent a lot of time ‘nappy off’… a phrase which strikes fear into any parent of a non-toilet-trained child. We’re nowhere near potty training but he has got an appreciation for when he’s done a wee or a poo whilst roaming free and it generally ends in him getting quite anxious about it. We’ve tried ignoring it and are firmly sticking by our policy of ‘oh dear, accidents happen but well done for coming and getting me’. Even if it is a little hard to handle when there are five large poo dollops scattered across the landing and bedroom carpets at 6am. Joy.
Trust me, no-one would want to see that, so instead, I’m sharing a couple shots of last weekend’s park adventures with the boy. Can you tell he’s a little cold and grouchy by the end?! He loves being outdoors but boy oh boy, does he HATE having his coat on!!

We have just ordered a potty to have around for any nappy off moments. Like your little one, Dex is nowhere near ready but he does love a squat when he has a poo so I thought why not have the potty available for such moments?!
We need to do it, I just keep forgetting! I’m hoping he’ll just magically take to it without any assistance from me!
