For our Living Arrows this week, it’s GOT to be about the snow. I mean, we’ve also been a house filled with coughs, colds and temperatures but who wants to hear about that?! You do? Oh good.
Ever since starting nursery in early January, we’ve picked up every cold going. I’m not sure if it’s the cesspit of germs that my son’s now paddling in daily or the fact that life is so jam packed that we just don’t have the time to recover properly. Maybe it’s both, who knows! All I know is, this week has been absolutely no exception.
As I’m working two days in the office a week now, the first part of the week is normally quite hectic. This week one of those days was a strategy conference at a local hotel; a slightly later start time combined with a shedload of food… it really would have been perfect were it not for that pesky diet I decided to start! After finishing work for the week on Wednesday, we decided to embrace Thursday as a busy day and made it to Sing and Sign before racing straight from there to a messy play group with friends! Throw in a spot of lunch with them, a trip to Tesco and a circuits class for mummy whilst Nanny visited and we were collapsing into bed by the end of the day, completely exhausted.
It wasn’t until midway through the evening that I realised we weren’t fully healthy. With a baby that was up half the night and ridiculously floppy, hot and sleepy the next morning, all plans were cancelled and we traipsed off to the doctors surgery. The result of all that drama – a viral infection. We bedded down in the house and prepared to stay in for a couple of days. Only we couldn’t. It did the unthinkable down here in (practically coastal) Devon… it snowed!
We bundled and wrapped up the baby and headed out for a touch of fresh air. After all, who can resist playing in the white stuff?! Even if it was minimal. We made it ten minutes in before someone decided he had had enough and screamed the remaining 25 minutes of the walk… yay, parenting!
Until next week

Gorgeous photo! I hope Monkey starts feeling better this week and you all manage to have a busy jam packed week x
It’s half term so all of our activities are cancelled… who does that?!! Surely mums need more activities this week!
Poor little man, hope he feels better soon! You, Mrs, are wonder woman! Going back to work, dealing with poorly babies and diets is quite enough for anyone to deal with and you somehow manage to do circuits as well!? #thisgirlcan #thisgirldid #thisgirlcandoanything
