Today’s Living Arrows post comes off the back of a very active week once again, we’ve been up to EVERYTHING! From coffee dates to babies on the beach during the week, we’ve had a weekend of family time, tried (and failed) to sort out next weekend’s Christening and finally, we’ve been to a rave. Yes, you read that right. We went raving. As a family.
Sunday saw us make our way in to Exeter to attend a Big Fish, Little Fish children’s rave. I’ll write about it properly at some stage but it really was a different experience. We booked it a long time ago and completely forgot that fancy dress was ‘optional’… let’s face it, that means it’s mandatory doesn’t it? Less than an hour before leaving I found myself taking part in a parenting rite of passage – cobbling an outfit together from nothing! Have to say, I’m pretty proud of how it turned out… can you guess what he is?!
Yup, that’s right, he was a pirate (if you didn’t guess correctly then you can leave now…). We went with some friends which led to us being more excited at taking photos of their fancy dress before hand than at the actual event. Also an interesting experience walking three tired pirates back through a busy city centre to the car, but that’s another story. We raved hard, laughed at how times had changed and were in our pyjamas within five minutes of being home. Such a bizarre end to the week!
I bet you can’t beat that….
