This week’s Living Arrows post is very late… I’m sorry! I have a decent excuse, we’ve been away and since our return I’ve been hidden under a near constant pile of washing, toys and kitchen pieces. Despite all of my fears about time changes and jetlag, our little one coped wonderfully with the holiday and fully embraced island life. Not only was he spoilt rotten by our entire family, he also turned in to something of a mini celebrity with the staff. Everywhere we went they’d be cooing his name and getting him to perform his latest trick…
A couple of weeks of intense family time have brought his speech on no end. He will now point out ‘boat’, ‘car’, ‘moon’, ‘pool’, ‘ball’… the list goes on. He’s pretty incredible with his boat spotting, he even finds them in pictures on the wall. I feel like I spend half my life now trying to find the ones he’s pointing out so earnestly. He’s not QUITE mastered the meanings for all of his words though. On the plane on the way home he repeatedly pointed at the lights whilst loudly shouting ‘MOON’ over and over. Very cute but very noisy at 2am with a plane-full of people trying to sleep.

He’s so advanced! I bet the 2am shouting of moon went down like a lead balloon with some of the judgey people on the flight!
MOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!! It will haunt me forever.
This is such a cute photo. Glad little one enjoyed the holiday and wasn’t too tired after the trip. #livingarrows
He loved it!! It was so nice to get some family time… makes you realise how quickly they’re growing up
What a lovely picture – it sounds like you had a fab holiday. Gabe has just started learning lots of new words too and it’s very cute 🙂 #LivingArrows
It’s cute and funny isn’t it? I love hearing what they pick up, always so random!
Great to see you back with a new Living Arrows post. What an inspirational sentence at the end–“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”!
