Living Arrows: Week Forty Four

The clocks have changed; Winter is officially on it’s way. We’re working hard to get things sorted out here, from buying furniture for the house to undertaking that hideous task of sorting through the boy’s clothes. Every time I do it I feel a little sad about how quickly he’s growing (and for my bank balance.. his wardrobe is far better than mine!).
In a break from all of that we visited our local wildlife park with friends. It’s one of those places I’ve driven past nearly every day but have never been to so we bit the bullet and went in. With a toddler it’s always hard to find places that cater well for them – they want freedom and to be able to see and explore but are still so small and able to get through the tiniest of gaps, so it was a welcome relief to find somewhere where he could run free and see and do everything. He had a whale of a time!

From flamingoes to goats, and monkeys through to meerkats, it was our first taste of a ‘zoo’ of sorts. Having taken him to an aquarium for his birthday, we were put off places like that (you know, ones with other people!) until he was a little older but I think he’s starting to get there. That said, his favourite bits were all of the play areas. He completely fell in love with the slides, even the huge enclosed one. He went down a lot faster than I did!

What gorgeous pictures. I’m so glad he enjoyed it. It makes such a difference when there is space for them to run around and they can actually see doesn’t it?! #LivingArrows

It’s SO much better when there’s space, I feel like I can breathe a little bit more!

I’ll run it past Dave and see what he says. We’ll probably end up with a whole herd of them in the back garden knowing my luck. Atleast it’ll save on mowing!

This looks like such a lovely day out and wildlife parks are always a big hit here. We have so many fairly local places that we haven’t been to yet! x

It’s easy to forget local places isn’t it?!
