I always forget how much we’ve achieved in a week, then I look through my photos for an image that sums it up and find we’ve done shedloads! This week has been no exception, we’ve been to Wildwood Escot with all of our baby friends (do they still count as baby friends when they’re all running off in opposite directions, wolfing down picnics and destroying the soft play?!). We’ve had fish and chips on the beach, been to a birthday party, had our first ‘gymnastics’, aka. running around a room like a lunatic, session and we’ve moved back into our home – phew!
Friday saw us spend a quieter day together. It’s rare we get some time just us these days with no classes or real plans in place. We went shopping for some house bits, did a lot of singing ‘row, row’ (the only bit of the song he knows) and then ended our day with some cousin time. Dave’s mum has had our nephew to stay for a few nights so it was a great chance for the boys to spend some time together, it doesn’t happen often!
It was hilarious watching them interact; the difference between a three year old and a one year old is huge, I feel mildly terrified about what’s to come. Thankfully, they both love cars so they managed to find a way to play with those without too much showing off (the three year old) or whining (mine). Well, all apart from this car/trailer combo which caused much concern – apparently it’s not for babies! Cue an hour of it being carried around ‘just to make sure he didn’t break it’ before eventually letting him touch it under close supervision. The level of hero worship was spectacular, I loved watching him watch his cousin and then copy him. So funny!

Oh my goodness, this photo is just gorgoeous. The relationships at play are so lovely. Unfortunately with my two it seems to end in fighting! #LivingArrows
I have so many of them, but this is my favourite! There was plenty of bickering, especially from our nephew who kept firmly telling us that his toys were being snatched and stolen…. ahhhh kids!
N’s very protective over his tractor toys with friends’ younger siblings. They always seem to hone in on the precious/more breakable ones #livingarrows
I think it’s an inbuilt superpower or something, we always seem to head for the most beloved of toys!! I’m hoping he’ll grow out of it soon!
Awww cousin love, I also love watching J & E (my children) play with their cousins. It’s such a bond!
It’s unique isn’t it? I still see my cousins – some of them daily! It’s like having less annoying siblings!
It sounds like you have had a fun and jam-packed week. It’s lovely watching children play side by side isn’t it. Have a lovely week x
I think our weeks are ALWAYS ridiculously jampacked – it seems to be our thing!
Oh I love those rare days of no plans. I might actually plan some in the diary ‘do nothing day’!! x
Love a good plan not to plan!!
Row Row Row Your Boat is the only song that’s sung here too! He starts with Rah, Rah, Rah and I finish it off ready for him to start again! Too cute!
