Living Arrows: Week Thirty Three

We’ve spent the last week recovering from our travels and putting the kitchen in to our home. We were hoping to move back in on our return but unfortunately it’s not quite ready. So instead of shifting boxes, we’ve been building kitchens instead! Having a little one on a building site hasn’t always been the easiest of things. He’s the main reason we moved out – there’s just no containing him with all those tools around!

With the builders now gone, it’s a bit safer so I took him over with me this week. It looks like I’ve got a little protege on my hands! My new helper stood next to me whilst I fitted hinges, helped me push in plastic covers and stole the screwdriver on more than one occasion. My favourite moment was turning around to see him trying to ‘adjust’ the screws on the hinges in exactly the same way I’d done. It made my heart melt! My Dad built our house as we were growing up and I’ve always been fairly practical. To see him taking part was just magical. Obviously the screwdriver was quickly whipped away however… the last thing we need is a trip to A&E, or a mark on the new kitchen! He was much safer waving around a clean paintbrush and ‘painting’ the sides for me!

Thomas adores tools – particularly screwdrivers! The paintbrush is a good idea but not sure how long it would be before he’d be trying to grab something more dangerous! Haha.

It took moments before he jammed it into my mouth and wanted to ‘paint’ my face. LOVELY!
