I’ve struggled to write this this week, we’re sat watching the concert in Manchester and everything I write seems trite in comparison to what’s been going on. It feels like there’s reason after reason to squeeze this little guy a little tighter each night. He has no idea and I’m so very grateful for that amongst so many other things. But enough, this is my little slice for him each week which I hope to gather together for him one day to read. So, onwards…
This week we’ve had, not one, not two but three birthday parties. I swear, they’re like buses! Our weekend has been spent surrounded by the squeals of excitement that come from big groups of little people. It’s so funny seeing them all interact, I have to admit that at the moment we have a clingy child but once he’s had a few minutes he’s off; pottering along behind the older children and watching them intently. It also turns out he’s quite the fan of birthday cake… must take after his mum!
We made it to the beach again this week. When we made plans to have a baby beach date we didn’t realise the weather would be quite so lovely. I’ve been living proof of that, having slathered factor 50 on him, I managed to pick up some wonderful sunburn and tan lines! We are SO lucky to live where we do and to have the luxury of beach days with friends. I guess this week, I’m even more thankful for that.

Look at him now! He’s looking so grown up! I really wish we loved closer to the beach! #LivingArrows
It’s going so quick! I feel like I’ve blinked and suddenly he’s a boy!!
I love his little trousers! Thomas can be a bit taken aback by birthday parties – just a bit too noisy!
Love the beach in Devon. Many a happy holiday at Sidmouth!
Zara Baby all the way! Yeah I think we were the same, it’s a little overwhelming but then once he’d gotten over that he was well away!! Ahhh Sidmouth is so close to us, only a couple of bays over! x
Our posts started pretty similar, I swear I didn’t even see yours until now! Not copying honest!
As usual, b e a u t i f u l pic of the little man! I am digging his hareem pants, such a trendsetter in the world of microfashion. It looks amazing in your part of the world. I can’t wait for Mummy to dex and I to spend our summer holidays with you when you build the giant annexe on your house! hahaha x
HAHAHHAA, I didn’t even think that until you’d said! They’re so cool aren’t they? I did a raid on Zara Baby and he’s got a couple pairs of these… they’re so yummy! My annex is currently leaky so you may be waiting a while! x
This is what I did after the bad news. Theres just a lot going on and I am scared for my son but I need to go on. This is such a gorgeous photo. #livingarrows
It’s a worrying point isn’t it? Thanks, I love photos of him in this hat!!
Your trip to the beach looks amazing – I envy anyone that can get to the beach regularly, it’s an hour and a half each way for us. And there have been so many Birthday parties here too – they all come at once! x
Oh you poor thing, I love having the beach so close although you really DO take it for granted! x
Crikey that’s a lot of parties for one week. Sweet beach pic #livingarrows
He has a far better social life than I do!!
Another gorgeous shot of your beautiful little boy. I love living by the beach, although we don’t often get the weather for it up here like you do down there.

It’s lovely isn’t it? I can’t imagine living away from it these days. Ha! I think we’ve just been lucky – when it rains down here it’s awful!
Oh yay for cake! This is a gorgeous picture I wonder what he was thinking when you caught this! If hes anything like Kipper it’s how fast can I get to the sea!! Xx
He’s TERRIFIED of the sea, poor boy (although secretly I’m quite relieved!!)
Gorgeous picture! I think we’ve all been holding our little ones closer lately haven’t we? Hooray for birthday parties and lots of reasons to celebrate our lives and our littles! xx #LivingArrows
It really is a case of hooray for those celebrations as otherwise the world could become a VERY depressing place!
