How To Target Stubborn Fatty Areas

Body confidence after a baby is a funny thing isn’t it? On one hand, I’m proud of what my body has done for me. Yet on the other, I can’t help but see all the extra lumps, bumps and stretches that seem to have joined me along the way. I’d love to say I’m someone that finds it easy to lose weight but I’d be lying. I enjoy my food too much and rarely get the time (or have the inclination) to exercise. Although there are a bunch of ways to get rid of stretch marks organically, it’s important to weigh all of your options.

With my first pregnancy I dove straight in to eating for two. I indulged in everything possible and promptly gained a lot of weight. I spent a lot of time going to the gym and eating healthily to get it back to something I was happy with, only to fall pregnant again shortly after. This time, I was careful to exercise more in the early stages and be more conscious about what I was eating.

Even now, back at my pre-pregnancy weight, there are a lot of parts of me that I want to tone up. And whilst I know that I could do it with plenty of hard work and dedication, I just don’t have the time. Juggling two children, a stressful job and trying to maintain my own sanity is taking up enough time. I fall into bed exhausted as it is. They’re excuses I know, but they’re still valid.

I also know that no matter how hard I try, there are some parts of me that just don’t want to tone up. Those fatty bits that are as stubborn as anything. You can work on certain muscle groups but with general diet you can’t spot target fatty areas. That’s where CoolSculpting sounds pretty appealing.

What Is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a non-surgical fat freezing method that treats and removes fat cells for good. You may not have heard of it before but it’s a safe and effective (FDA approved) way of treating problem fatty areas such as your tummy, hips, bottom or ‘love handles’.

Fat cells freeze at a higher temperature than other cells in your body. By cooling the targeted area in controlled conditions, the fat cells freeze and ultimately die. Your body then naturally removes these dead cells as part of it’s waste removal process.

Will It Hurt?

No. CoolSculpting may feel a little uncomfortable at first with an icy feeling and suction. However, after a couple of minutes this sensation fades and the area numbs. You may find there’s some redness after the treatment but most people go straight back to their every day activities as soon as they walk out of the clinic. Oh and there are no needles involved… hurrah!
